About the Producer
Pursuing Dreams, Vision, and Goals
Judith’s love for theatre undoubtedly came from her grandmother who performed with her sister as part of a Vaudevillian act in the early 1900s. The daughter of a Baptist minister, her mother was an accomplished musician, Judith grew up in church, as part of a very musical family. Judith has toured with several musical groups, and loves nothing more than to harmonize.
Prior to coming to The Grove, Judith was the Compliance Director for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan – responsible for many aspects of contracting for employer groups, Medicare and MediCal for a number of years. Upon her retirement from Kaiser, she decided it was time to pursue activities that allowed her to use her more creative talents, so she followed her daughter, Lottie, to The Grove.
That was over 20 years ago. Since then she has performed on the stage, run sound for hundreds of shows, and been assistant director and stage director for several shows. For the past ten years she has been the Director of Operations, responsible for the Box Office and for all marketing operations of The Grove. She has also worked with producers and directors, contracted for shows, worked with outside agents and has negotiated contracts. For the past three years, under The Grove’s new owner, she has contracted for, and managed, all aspects of the productions at The Grove.
She loves this theatre, and loves working with the many people who share their talent on this stage. She looks forward to many more years of entertainment with The Grove and The Grove At The Fox.
