Volunteer

While you are looking at our web site, a teenager is helping her younger brother learn how to tie his shoes. A successful executive notices a local business owner is having trouble hanging a banner and is offering his assistance. One act of generosity can go a long way for everyone. That is why we are currently looking for volunteers. At The Grove Theatre, we believe it is that type of selflessness that is an excellent addition to our family. Volunteerism is what brings together the community as a whole and motivates others to perform generous acts of kindness.

Do you have experience in stagecraft, whether it is for a profession or a hobby you enjoy? The Grove is searching for individuals that can develop breathtaking stages. We need individuals who have the imagination and capability to make the stages come alive during each performance. Even if an actor or actress performs magnificently and remembers every line, the stage needs to be able to set the right tone for the audience so they can understand what is happening and feel every emotion the actor/actress is expressing.

When patrons walk through our doors, we need someone that will be welcoming ushers and be able to display a positive attitude, directing our audience members to their desired location. Ushers are the first people that a patron sees and we would be delighted to have individuals that love to greet people to The Grove.

Maybe you have food service experience and can help at our snack bar. Maybe you are willing to help clean up the theatre before and after performances. Or, have you ever thought about working back stage during a performance? We often need help setting the stage, moving props, or helping actors get ready.

These are only just a few of the positions that our volunteers assist in. If you would like to offer your service to The Grove Theatre and are curious about what assistance we need, please come to our venue at:

276 E. 9th St.
Upland, CA 91786

Or call us at (909) 920-4343.

We would love to have you volunteer. Come help us tie our shoes.
